About Generation (UK) Ltd Generation (UK) Ltd trading as Generation Hire and Sale are suppliers of access and building equipment on a hire and sale basis through a network of 13 branches accross the UK. A full range of equipment is available to the Construction, Events, Industrial and Utility markets. Generation (UK) Ltd has been trading since 1976, originally part of the McAlpine organisation. On the 1st October 2004 a management buy out from the parent company MITIE Group Plc took place with all principal senior managers retained. Turnover for this financial year will exceed £55m representing the largest supplier of its type not connected to a scaffolding contracting organisation. We have taken considerable steps to ensure that our service, management, customer care and equipment are of the highest quality and are proud to be accredited and members of the NASC, PASMA, The Ladder Association, IPAF and Investors in People. We have recently been certified with the ISO 9001:2008 accreditation, initially it covers our head office and Birmingham Branch. It is our intention to roll this out to the rest of the organisation as soon as practically possible. We take our staff¹s personal development very seriously as we believe that through training and quality assurance procedures, we can enhance the buying experience for all of our customers. We are at an advanced stage of working toward ISO 9002 accerdiation and are Investors in People. It is our prime aim in the procurement of stock to ensure that all equipment purchased is tested and inspected so that we may be satisfied that all components will comply with current legislation and relevant British and European standards by using independent test houses and laboratories. To facilitate this we use full supplier appraisals on a regular basis.

About Generation Training Services Generation Training Services is located in Wakefield, where we have our fully accredited training centre. Equipped with powered access equipment, mobile scaffold towers, system and tube & fitting scaffolds, fork lift trucks, and access to overhead cranes. This is also our central booking and administrative centre, from where our team of dedicated staff will handle your enquiries. Colin Johnson and Carl Evans are the leading instructors, who are involved in the day to day, and bespoke aspects of the business, each having specific industry expertise in their fields. In addition to the Wakefield Office, we also have five additional satellite training venues, shared with our parent company, Generation Hire and Sales Ltd. These are located in;

Generation Training Services are PASMA, IPAF, Ladder Association accredited providers of training for Mobile Access Towers, Low Level Access Platforms, Mobile Elevating Work Platforms, (MEWPS), and Ladders & Steps. As a leader in the field of Access Equipment Hire & Sales, Work at Height training is an integral part of our business. Naturally, if we hire or sell the equipment, we want the user to be competent in its use. Health & Safety legislation requires the user to be adequately trained, and that’s where Generation Training is able to help. Many of our clients are Health & Safety Supervisors/Managers, responsible for the welfare of employees within their organisations, so whether you train at one of our 5 PASMA and Ladder Association accredited centres, or on your own site, our professional instructors are there to not only supervise the training, but to advise on issues of concern. In addition to training courses that have been developed and are continually managed and updated by their accrediting bodies, such as the International Powered Access Federation, (IPAF), or Prefabricated Access Suppliers and Manufacturers Association, (PASMA), Generation Training Services are also equipped to discuss and design bespoke courses, tailored to the clients individual requirements – please contact one of our staff for further details. Cuplok and Kwikstage type scaffolds are part of our core business, so as you would expect from professional organisation which hires and sells system type scaffold equipment and with the increasing H&S legislation pertaining to Scaffold Erection, Inspection and Dismantling, we are now offering open enrolment courses at two of our accredited centres, Wakefield and Chatham, – please contact one of our staff who can advise the next available dates.
